Our Indian Youth Community
"There is no power for change greater than a community
discovering what it cares about."
– Margaret J. Wheatley
As a club, we learnt very early on in our journey that true impact can only be achieved when we work hand in hand with others in our ecosystem. Recognising that we are a community with possibilities, with differing gifts and assets, SYC embarked on the journey of convening and stewarding the wider Indian Youth ecosystem in 2019. We organised the inaugural Indian Youth Conference to address the important challenge of transforming the isolation and self-interest within our communities into connectedness and caring for the whole.
We began the process of articulating our collective aspirations for our community and build commitment toward working to achieve collaborative impact. It was an opportunity to connect with old and new community leaders and friends in the community, discover what gives life to our community, who we are when we are at our best and the collective gifts, strengths and assets that enable us to serve with intention and impact.
