The SYC Story

Therapy Session

The SINDA Youth Club was set up in 2010 to empower Indian youths between the ages of 17 and 35 for growth and leadership. We believe in empowering our youth through various initiatives and enabling them to identify and act on the aspirations of the community and the nation. A semi-autonomous club, we are primarily volunteer-driven, but also receive funding and staff support from SINDA.

We aspire to be an inclusive space for all Indian youth to discover who they are, what they stand for, and to grow into their better selves. Over the years, we have discovered that few of us really achieve these unless we do the hard work of clarifying our core. This is why our programmes and events provide opportunities for youth to discover their purpose and strengths as well as to contribute to causes and communities that they care about.

Ambitious as it may sound, we are in the business of journeying with the future leaders of this country. So, join our movement as a participant, volunteer or programme partner today!

OUR LOGO

The raison d'etre of SYC is each individual youth. This is captured by the central figure "Y" which is personified by outstretched arms and a fiery head, full of ideas. The ever growing flames emanating from a concave bowl allude to the diya, a symbol for hope and a brighter future. Flanking its two sides are the letters, "S" and "C"; representing SINDA, the progenitor of SYC and the community in which the youth exists in.

Together, they empower the youth with strength and courage to work together for the betterment of self and society. Finally, the increasing intensity of the red orange hue throughout captures this weltanschauung of catalysing change for a better tomorrow.
